key broke in my ignition!!!!

How do i get a broken key out of my ignition???
I can't even get the coloumn off, because in order to get the coloumn off, i have to take the steering wheel off. And inorder to get the steering wheel off, i have to be able to turn the key to the "on" position!!!! But i can't obviously, because the key is broken!!

Small pliers? May seem like it won't work thats what I thought but it usually does, just give it a shot

i have nothing small enough. not even my electronic's course pliers.

a locksmith said he would do it for $40

so this morning, i went outside to wait for the bus to work. i had to get some change out of my car for the fare, an i made the decision that i WAS NOT going to accept riding the bus. So i was thinking, what could i use that was small enough to get my key out??????

After tryin a few things and this and that, i remembered my allen key set! i had a tiny allen key that just MIGHT work! so after a bloody knuckle and a little elbow grease (no effort at all actually) i stuck the allen key inside and OUT came the key!!!! so happy!!! saved myself the $40 for the locksmith and i don't gotta ride the bus to work!

only problem that i had was that after i took they key out the key wouldn;t work! so i tapped the ignition and it came loose! only big deal about the problem was that from my efforts i kinda bent up the outside of the lock. a minor thing i can live with, because NOW i can actually DRIVE my car!!!

and ironically jsut now, the bus drove by. Stupid bus.


anyways! so ANYONE with that problem! got a small allen key? it'll whip that key right out!!!
