Launch control feature?

Obviously by asking this question, you can see I am an newbie M3 driver. What is Lauch Control, and what is all the discussion about warranty issues and not being able to do it more than 10 times?? Does my 05 have Launch control? Is there a specific button???

The reason why this is so damaging is that its supposed to take a large toll on your clutch when done often.

Thanks Tom. That page was really cool, and had lots of info, that honestly I did not know about. I do love the Gradient Assist. I used it 2x on the drive home the day I picked up my MmmmmBaby

My car doesn't have launch control but I do have a burnout mode:
1) Depress and Hold Clutch Pedal
2) Place Shift Lever in 1st Gear
3) Depress accelerator
4) DROP CLUTCH
