Leatherette in E60

I am contemplating getting the leatherette in a new E60 purely to save money. Anyone currently driving with it? Any complaints? Thanks.

Supposedly, it holds up better than real BMW leather and feels just the same. Not a bad idea, if you ask me.

I have the leatherette, and think the positives and negatives are evenly balanced. Positives: durable, easy to keep clean, looks like it came from the cow. Negatives: not a supple as leather (though the BMW leather is not great), doesn't breath in hot weather.

After the initial wear-in period (it felt a bit rubbery at first) nobody thinks it's anything but real leather. Save the $1500 and get other options like NAV or Xenons.

I don't think it cleans well, a friend of mine has it and its so rough that its impossible to clean and keep clean.

I love the leather....my seats are actually very plush and pliable. And no leatherette is going to have the awsome leather smell. Personal preferance in my opinion. Think about it though. Once you decide..........THATS IT!!!!!!!!!!
