Heres a lot thats been on my mind.

1. Are there any good Bimmer magezines? My gay barens and noble can't seem to keep a good supply, Just found tome "Total Bmw" mags from nov 2003 :/ Mostly anything with e30s

2. For a Big Bore throttle body wouldnt you need to convert to MAF for a full effect?

3. What cras are fitted with a MAF and how much does it cost to convert?

4. Could I talk to a local machine shop to bore my throttle body or does a car builder guy have to do it? What are the specs for it, also can I buy a pre-bored body? From where?

5. WTFING HELL DO RICERS HAVE RWD SPOILERS ON FWD CARS?!?!?%(#*&(*&%@^*&#^

Thanks

1. Not really sure, I bet there are. I have never reall been in the market so I can't say.
2. I don't think so. For a big bore TB you'd probably have to bore out part of the intake manifold in order to get it to fit (and have full effect). The MAF is a big debate. A larger MAF is basically only to more accuratley measure the air coming in in order to adjust the A/F ratio. This is a huge debate on SHOs... bigger ones don't help really unless they're specially calibrated. I don't know what you mean by "convert". Either way I don't think your MAF would be a problem.
3. Not sure/probably not worth it
4. Check babarian autosport/search google for a pre bored unit.
5. Ricers are a breed of human being that should be eliminated from society. Their stupid personal rhetorice makes them look retarded, but they think they're the shit... The spoilers are just for the "show before you go" effect....

Roundel is the best BMW specific magazine, IMHO, but available to BMW CCA members only.

Join the BMW CCA at www.bmwcca.org

Bimmer is okay, and available at your local bookstores. There are a few other BMW specific magazines in the Transportation section, including at least one that is UK market, but good.

European Car has a fair amount of BMW-specific information. Car and Evo are good general car magazines. Autoweek is the best if you want to keep up with current events, and it has nice classifieds.

Forgive my ignorance to this, but what is a RWD spoiler?
There of course is no such thing.

Spoilers exist to generate downforce at the rear of the car at high speeds. At 100 MPH, the wing on the back of that EVO 8, an AWD car, for example, actually aids in stability and handling. It effectively works to provide downforce. In that sense a rear wing is functional. A properly designed rear wing could be a benefit to any car in a high performance environment, regardless of its drivetrain type. Given the performance advantages of RWD and AWD, you don't see many FWD cars that need them, but they do exist. Most cannot be seen cruising around the town, sadly, and rarely do they ever have neon or other cosmetic additions.

Lots of people today are putting ridiculous wings on cars that don't need them. A lot of them happen to be FWD japanese cars, in particular the Honda Civic. American cars are getting 'riced' at a horrific pace.

BMWs are not immune from this phenomenon.

Since you have a ****load of questions, you may not have seen

Some amusing stuff.

That said, it would be a mistake to dismiss the japanese cars, particularly their performance models, as a result of what some have chosen to do with theirs.

BMWCar and PerformanceBMW are london based mags(Like TotalBMW) with tons of nice color photo layouts of classic beemers as well as new ones. I get them at the local news/magazine stand. They cost about $10 each, but well worth it if you're in to BMW. I think you can order a subscription from their websites:

Generally speaking, the cam numbers refer to the amount of lift that the valves get as a result of the larger lobes on the performance cam. The higher the number, the greater the lift. The first number is for the intake cam and the second is for the exhaust cam.

So bigger #s = better? Im assuming not but how do you know what your getting? Like what would you want for low end torque but not top speed?
You need to take a comprehensive approach to tuning your car. Far beyond asking people who used to own a BMW like me about what kind of cam profile you should run.

That said, I think I can answer your question. [;)]

Korman offers two cams for your car. The first is more suitable for a daily driver, the second for a race car.

Schrick 272-272º duration, 11 mm lift. Smooth idle, works with automatic transmission. Best when used with Korman performance chip. Dual valve springs required. P/N 11386272323

Schrick 288-288º duration, 11.4mm of lift. Lumpy idle limits application to manual transmission models only. Works best with Korman performance chip, free flow intake and exhaust systems. Korman Dual Valve Springs and titanium retainers required. P/N 11386288323

And don't leave before you check out everything here:

And Korman is just one of many places that offer such things. I have never bought anything from Korman, but they have a good reputation. My impression is that they are a quality outfit that I would consider sending a car to for an upgrade or restoration.

In any event, it sounds like you should get a lower rear differential if you want low end torque, as you will apply more torque to the wheels. That is the biggest difference between the performance of your 325i and the 325e, despite the perception that the lower rev limit and thus lower horsepower of the eta engine is the reason why a stock 325e is slower than a stock 325i.

You can convert an E30 to use a bigger AFM off a M30 engine, thats the big 3.0 litter and bigger six cylinder BMW made. You have to take your circuit board out of your stock AFM and put it into your bigger AFM, but the bigger AFM does flow more air.

One thing the Ricers dont understand is that those big wings and spoilers they love to put on there little cars actually slows them down. A wing or spoiler does one thing: catches air to increase down force, but by catching air it also creats more drag. More drag means more power needed to push the car down the road. So much for adding 20 horsepower huh guys? But what about the stickers they like so much? I heard they can add like 5 horsepower each! hehehe
Ricers are funny to laugh at.
