Long Time, No See

I haven't seen my Z in a week. I had to take it in for service at the beginning of last week. My airbag light came on the weekend prior, the car continually called BMW assist without me prompting it too (sometimes every 20secs or so; extremely annoying) and everyonce in a while, especially when I first started it, the wipers would wipe one time for no reason (auto wipers).
Everyone that I've talked with at my dealership is very polite and professional, but I haven't exactly been thrilled with things so far. I've gotten two updates since I dropped it off; I called both times. Supposedly they had to order a new windshield thinking that the prism in mine was bad and causing the wiper thing.

I was told before I bought my car that if I had to turn it in for service that I would get a car equal to or better than mine in value and performance. I would hardly consider the base leatherette 325i either one of those. So here I sit, very much missing my car.
I inadvertently sat down next to the owner of the dealership at a restaurant this weekend, and he told me he would check on it first thing this morning, yet no call from him either.
Miss my baby.

Damn, that sucks... I would still stay polite/restrained (as you seem to have been doing) that way you get a loaner car, and they try and fix everything. So long as you keep the relationship working and open your good. Once they work out the bugs your car should be fine. In the meantime if you wanna have fun, I'd play with sport mode and manual mode while at the same time keeping the pedal on the floor. The 325i is a lot of fun if you floor it all the time.[:D]

You got that right, Tom. I've been trying to think of road trips since I've had the loaner. I know I've been designated lunch driver at work, haha. They better take it while they can get it because there isn't too many folks riding with me once I get the Z back.

You know the weirdest/sad/freak thing happened today. I stopped by the dealership to get a few things out of my car. Seeing how I've been without my car for over a week, I was going to have a very professional / tactful discussion with the service manager about my car. Turns out... he died today. Right there in the service department; I guess he had a heart attack, but the service department was in disarray. I obviously didn't feel it to be a good time to talk about my car so I just got the few things I stopped for and left. Hopefully I can find something out tomorrow.
Crazy day.
