Hi

I'm considering to buy an old '88 525i e34 sedan with an m20 engine. I will have the compression ratio tested.. Does anyone know what ratio it should be on this engine??

Is there anything special I should watch out for with this car??

I also wonder if it is possible to fit a m50 top on the m20 block to get 24 valves? Is this anything worth considering at all??

Does anyone know what kind of ABS system it is on this car? is it the old system with only one sensor, or is it one sensor on each wheel??

Thanks in advance..

Well. I called the BMW Dealer and they told me that the compression of the m20 2,5i engine should be 10-11 bar

With catalysator it should be 8.8 to 1
without catalysator it should be 9.4 to 1

Just in case someone else needs to know...
