great video, that s2000 was on the m3 butt on that one turn. too bad the m3 was heavy in comparison to the z and the s

the bonus footage was crazy, the hachiroku can be quite a monster. (initial d fans will love that vid)

Yeah, this is not a new video. IMO, the M3 should have done much better, considering how much performance it offers. I think the M3 (driver) just got shafted in the beginning when the Skyline cut him off when the race started. Also, they should have had the Boxster S in there, not the Boxster. There is no way a regular Boxster can keep up with those other cars...even in stick shift, its 0-60 is 6.6 seconds which is too far away from the M3's time of 4.8 seconds...the power difference was too much.

I think Honda put that video out - I like the cheap shots they make in the video - this M3 is just to heavy - and look at how the skyline handles. You just want to tell them to shut up.

That skyline was in the way half the time. I don't think it was fair for either of the S2000 or the M3. I mean it was pretty much like blocking anyone from catching up since it was "taping" the Z, I dunno [:p] crazy kids these days. That extra footage was good, I never saw Initial D b4 but I've heard of it and remember seeing a car that looked like that in the cover [:D] good stuff btw.[thumb]

Yeah you put the Z and the M3 out there. Without the Skyline blocking and the M3 would wipe the Z's butt. I raced a 350Z this weekend on the highway, he had about a 2 second jump on me, plus he was already ahead of me (about 2 car lengths). He beat me, but not by much, I was hanging right with him. If we were side by side a think that I could have taken him.

Didnt they comment also that the M3's tires werent up for that track??
They said the M3's tires were not suited for that track. That car may have had Continentals instead of Michelins... Tsuchiya was drifting quite a bit as he existed corners towards the end. Tsukuba is a pretty technical track, with lots of turns and not too many straights. We would have seen a different result if it'd been done on Suzuka.

I was particularly happy that "Drikin" (drift king) Tsuchiya drove the M3. He's one of my favourite drivers in Japan, so it was really a great combination for me.

theBMWenthusiast, what's your OS? I got it to work on Linux so if that's what you use, I think I can help.
