I purchased a used 2003 525I with 7,000 miles. Between 7,000 and 22,000 miles it has been back to the dealership four times with continual water leaks. There was so much water the first time it filled an entire large sized carpet cleaner. All the seals have been replaced, the car has been completely dismantled and the sunroof was replaced. After driving for 600 miles in the rain we saw no apparant water until the next day when it sat out in the rain and it was dripping down near the drivers petals. I told the dealership I never want to see the car again and have no idea how they are going to help me. I feel trapped with an expensive car I can't trust to stay dry and not start a mold and mildew factory. The California lemon law states that four repairs for the same problem make the car a lemon but they are telling me that it had to be before 12,000 miles. I can understand mechanical things but I can't control the weather. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
