Master Cylinder?

So me and Jordan were ganna bleed my breaks the other day and when we started to put some pressure on the fluid in the tank, it started leaking really bad out the bottom of the master cylinder. Took this as a pretty big tip that the cylinder was bad but I thought I'd ask. Anything else you think could be the problem?

Bottom of the master cylinder is solid... so I'm assuming it's probably leaking out of where the tank attaches to the master cylinder, or where the brake lines attach.

how could have one of the line busted?

May be the O’ring or seal between the reservoir and MC is bad. Just clean out the leak, and examine carefully where the leak comes from. Shouldn’t be hard to fix. Good luck.
