Minor crack in armrest

A miniscule split has suddenly appeared on my driver's side armrest. It's maybe 1/32" long. But it's fairly noticeable. Any hope of keeping it from getting worse? I have some Meguiar's Leather cleaner and aloe treatment. Think that'll help, or only make it worse?

Here is what I would try.
Using a syringe, inject a small amount of glue under the area and allow to dry using enough pressue to hold the piece in place so that the split is not noticeable
