Motor's

I came across a 325iS and there seems to be no apparent body damage/rust but is in a junk yard. I have a feeling its a blowen motor. How much would i be looking at getting another 325iS motor, a 530 motor or a M3 motor?

sorry i dont know prices, but everyone always asks, what about a new motor. how about open the motor up and find out whats broke, might be cheaper to do plus you gain hand in building a motor. its not all that hard, just have to have some tools. and a bently manaul.

Yea i've rebuilt an M10 motor before, its fun ya, but i was looking for a motor with like, direct coil ignition but that might be getting a lil too high tech!!

I speak some german myself, this i had to get a lil help with tho.
But if u break it down into this
Drei (Three) +
kugel (hemisphere) +
wirbel (swirl) +
wannenbrennraum (combustion chamer)
=
three hemisphereic swirl combustion chamber

it's used in the i6's from what i can figure out

I've seen good motors in the 325 range go for about $600, 89-90 vintage and 1000 for a nice 325i from 93-95.... M3's on the other hand are harded to come by and I myself was thinking about getting an M3 from a junkyard rear ended or side hit a using just motor-tranny-ecu and harness to fit on mine.....

Hmmm ya....Thats what i want is a m3 motor, just finding one is gunna be a s.o.b.

Hmmm damn those are expensive, what about like a e30 m3 motor? are those 6's or 4's?
