OK....as far as I'm concerned, women have all sorts of fabulous qualities - HOWEVER wearing wet nail polish into my 3 week old Bimmer - AND getting the damn stuff on the leatherette is a bit beyond belief.[?|]

I'm guessing applying nail polish remover is a bad idea....any other thoughts? (it's now dry).
Thanks

If using Goof Off, try Goof Off #2 as it is water based and less harsh.
I believe the the solvent based Goof Off would damage the fabric.

You can also go to a beauty supply store and try a non-acetone polish remover.

Also, try a "POG" (paint, oil & grease remover), available at a hardware store or professional carpet cleaning supply store. You may want to also check out a janitorial supply store if you are unable to locate it elsewhere.

I have a little bit of white paint on my black leather seat (front) It's been there for a few months now, would Goof off take care of it? Where could I get it?

You can get Goof Off in Wal-Mart, Lowes, etc.
Make sure it is #2
You may also want to try Goo Gone if that does not work.
IMO, the solvent based Goof Off is too strong to take a chance on the interior.

Millreef,
Stop by your local Autozone.
They are closing out some items. I picked up a few items and among the bunch was a leather spot remover and it is advertised as removing nail polish, plus, it was only $1.99
It is made by "Lifter-1" and is called Leather Stain Remover.

Wayne,
Thx for that. I'm not sure they have an "Autozone" on this side of the border....but I'll see if I can find the product somewhere else. As a worst case scenario, (in case I royally screw it up), the Dealer is saying they can colour-match to about 90%...or replace the seat-bottom for about CDN$220 plus another hundred in labour. Here's hoping either the Leather Stain Remover or the Goo Gone is successful!

Hmm...it doesn't appear that the Lifter-1 product is available in Canada....but continuing with that kind of logic, I would assume any product gentle enough to be used on leather should be OK for leatherette???

Ummm, Sounds logical to me:)
Leather care is not my strong point. Just to be safe, when trying out your product of choice, either "spot try" on a piece of material under the seat that you can not see or better yet, stop by a fabric shop or upholstery shop and pick up a scrap piece of material that closely matches your interior and use it for "testing" purposes.
After trying it out, wait about a week to see if there are any "side effects", then proceed with your cleaning..., always best to be safe:)
