Hi everyone

I really like the new 5. Please tell me if this is a good deal?
I am trading my 98 Accord LX V6 with 52k miles. The dealer is giving me 6500 for my trade.
My payments would be 509.00 a month with 12k per year on a 36month lease.

This partly depends on what equipment the 530 has on it. Stripped they can be as low as $45,000, loaded..as much as $60,000. I don't have any idea what the residual on those is either. I would suggest going to www.bmwusa.com and build out a car equipped like the one you are buying. Then use their lease calculator listing your $6500 down payment and see what payment it comes up with for a comparison. I do know that it is difficult to get much off of sticker from most BMW dealers unless there is some sort of special lease rate promotion or something.

Thanks
The 530 had cold weather pkg, premium pkg, auto tranny and xenon lights
msrp 50,200. The residual was 64%. Tier 1 rating.

I am going to check with another BMW dealer this weekend

Good luck with your purchase...er...lease. And post up some pictures after you get it. Also, I would like to hear someone report on how the new revised I-drive works in the new 5 series from an actual owner.

Works fine. It takes a few hours to get it figured out and fully programmed. Once you do so you seldom need to get into the meat of it. Much simpler than the 7 idrive. I honestly believe the brouhaha over it was much ado about nothing. I would like to see a few more knobs on the dash for the sound system such as bass and treble. Also it would be nice if you could program it to have a home page where it displayed whatever data you want rather than the default start screen. Last gripe....why can we not have the dealer turn off the legal warning every time the car starts up? Seems to me like after so many startups they could let you turn it off without concern over legal liability. Overall although I was at first very leary of the thing it is actually a good concept that puts many fine adjusments at your fingertips.

Are you serious??[confused] [confused] You have to accept a EULA or something every time you start the car????[eek] [confused] What's next, a message asking you if you're sure you want to shut it down? [xx(] [rofl]

New 530i - Is this a good deal?

Cheack out Eurobuyers.com

I purchased my new 540i six speed through Steve and saved thousands off sticker price from my local dealer. I even custom ordered my car with some options my local deal stated I could not get.

Check it out.

The new 5 is awsome. make sure you get the sport package. It comes with 18 " wheels and active steering which is great. At first you will not notice much difference but after you drive it around for awhile, you will understand how easy it is to drive and cut coners. Now when I drive my jeep around, its almost like driving a manual steering. Trust me you will love the sport package. I think its worth the extra money.
