new 530 rattling

Hi guys . i noticed on mine 2004 530i there is a rattling noise coming from behind the back seat specialy when driving on rough surfaces It seems its getting worst (louder) as i drive It only has 6000 miles its becoming anoiying im afraid when it gets to 40000 miles i have to get ear muffs.lol anyone has this problem?

Yes, some have reported problems with the rear parcel shelf, the one behind the rear seats, under the back window. Have your dealer look at it, it is easily fixable.

I think my 2005 M3 has the same noise. For me it is a crackling, rattle noise that sounds like it is coming from the shelf behind the back seats. It is not constant, and oddly seems to get worse when the car has been parked in the sun. I kept thinking it was coming from the rear HK speakers, but when I turn the sound system off..it still does it.

If you find out what it is....PLEASE post back and let me know. Luckily, it is not constant...but when I am ready for a Service, I would like to have it looked at.

Detto same problem 2001 525i Touring! Dealer lookt and chect for the problem,and hi thinks is the Amp. I dont think so ....so any post would be a big help
