new 5301 computer

hello everyone ( my first post)
does anyone knows when did the new 530 computer was updated? i just bought a 2004 530 in december with 22 miles on it im having problems with the voice commands it never shows what you ask i called the dealer i told em i was going to bring the car in he says that computer command was updated in may 2004 according to the info on the door the car was built in july 2004 he says could be my voice i had every member of my family try and it does the same thing, what should i do ?

There have been numerous and ongoing software updates for the 5 series. If English is not your first language and/or you have a strong accent I suppose the computer might have some trouble with your voice. I don't have the Navigation/Voice Command on my 5 series. I might bring it to the dealer and see if your service advisor or technician can make it work with their voices. If it works fine for them, then maybe the accent is a problem.
