Yes, i know that in africa, they put teh monkee in a table and the guest is to beat the monkee in the head to death and cut his head open. Thats horrid, but teh brains are a delicasy.
As a matter of fact, major corporations that mass produce the livestock we eat, are VERY humane. You beat an animal, it gets ill. If it gets ill, they'er worthless and have the potential of making ALL the rest of their livestock ill. where is the profit?
The cage systems we have for poultry are designed to be mentally and physically calming to the birds. How the hell are you going to have any meat on it if its stressed and runing around. Not to mention they loose less feathers and stay warm and are kept off the floor where disease could infect them, when kept in our cages. They are fed and watered when ever the hell they please. They are kept in cages of 7 to 13 to psychology keep them happy and sane. if you have large numbers of birds in groups, there tends to be a leader and thats not good for health and production.
Its like putting fish in a fish tank. Their mentality knows nothing of anything more. arent the fish safe by keeping them away from preditors of the wild? thats how we keep our birds. if they are happy, they produce eggs, and man can they spit out some eggs.
when you see animal rights web sites, they show you what THEY want you to see. Yes animals die. when we put baby chicks into cages as a new stock, roughly 1,000 die in the first couple weeks. thats less than 3% of the entire stock. if they werent in cages and on the floors, that number would greatly be increased.
So you have your preference. thats fine. but when you are a vegan and actively protest the production of food for the world's people..... dont come near me, lol.
