i just purchased a e30 and i have a couple of questions... im looking into putting some power into it, not really decided but thinking of a SR20det swap... i also have a very big thing with brakes, i need stopping power first... im not planning on having too much HP maybe just 300 so i dont need to much stopping power. But i want to know if i can swap brakes from another car or if i can buy performance brakes for it... any help would be great...

There are no end of options with brakes. You can buy uprated discs and calipers and lines such as those sold by Wilwood, Brembo and Alcon, or you can do some research and copy one of the many 5-stud conversions using e36 and z3 parts (or e30 m3 parts if you want a challenge on the parts-hunt front). This will also give you a better wheel selection.
