ISOLD THE CAR IN 1993 TO A FRIEND OF MINE AND HE IS STILL DRIVING IT.................I NOW HAVE A 1994 530I....GREAT POWER WITH MORE ROOM THAN THE 3 SERIES (I HAVE KIDS NOW). BUT, THE 530 WILL GET IN YOUR WALLET SO UNLESS YOU HAVE DEEP POCKETS OR ARE FAIRLY TECHNICAL, I WOULD STAY AWAY FORM THESE BABIES.........FEEL FREE TO DROP ME A LINE OR IF I CAN HELP WITH ANY PROBLEMS (CAR RELATED) YOU KNOW WHAT THEY SAY..........."ASKIN DON'T COST NOTHIN"

I was just wondering since we have the same vehicle (white '94 530i, here), if your engine was replaced
as mine was) under warranty.
It's been an incredible car. You're right about the upkeep, but I would expect *that of any car it's age and caliber.
I just happened across this site recently myself. What a FIND[:)]

Hi, nice to hear from you...............No, my engine has not been replaced and this is a constant worry. I just can't bear to part with this car. I have thought about purchasing a late model 5 series, maybe with a 6 cylinder (I understand they have fewer problems) but I'm afraid I'll miss the power of the V8..............I checked your profile and notice you live in Illinois. I lived in Peoria for 5 years.....Too cold up there in the winter. We have much milder winters here........Let me know of any problems you might encounter........How many miles on your beemer? 84k on mine. Take care...............[wave]

Just hit 91,000 today. I guess my profile is a bit misleading. I'm from Chicago,
but I now live in Nebraska (think "Green Acres", lol!)
I'm attached to my car as well. Even with a new 330Cic on its way, I know I am going to miss
it! My spouse is taking it over as *his commuter car.
