I have a 1990 325i and it wont start it just died driving down the road one day and hasnt started since I have spark and fuel and the timming belt is new and the valve train is rotating but I have no compression in 5 cylinders the compression in cylinders 1 through 5 is between 12 and 65 psi but cylinder 6 has 171psi any ideas as to why I have low compression in 5 cylinders but good compression in 1 cylinder if the timming was off would there be compression in only 1 cylinder? I have not checked the timming I will be doing that in a day or so.

Yes all plugs out and WOT I checked the timming it is dead on pulled the valve cover and the rocker assembly is good all rockers move I did notice that the oil in the head was a little milky looking not totally white but its almost the color of coffee with a little cream in it so I am getting water in the oil I think the head gasket is bad but with the compression so low in 5 out of 6 cylinders it must be real bad I have never seen that many cylinders effected by a bad head gasket or head usually its one or two cylinders I dont see any cracks in the block can a head or head gasket take out 5 cylinders but leave one cylinder good?

Here are the compression readings I got with all pugs out and WOT with a little oil shot into the cylinders.
Cyl1 50psi, Cyl2 25psi, Cyl3 12psi, Cyl4 10psi, Cyl5 65psi, Cyl6 171psi.
Any ideas some of those readings are real low I thought the gauge was bad but checked it on my wifes car it checks good so these are the compression readings.
