No truck comes close to this in terms of ultimate performance. How could they? No one else sports a class-obliterating 500 horsepower and 525 lb.-ft. of torque. And none of those "toy" trucks can even think about topping 150 mph or reaching 60 mph in approximately five seconds.

This is proof that you can never go too far. Or too fast.

I really like trucks, but I like them b/c they are trucks, not sports cars on 'roids. I only ask why?
I like em too !! My truck gets the majority of the crummy weather driving.

But to chime in here...

Seeing a guy out racing a big overweight utility...

Makes me say.........Red-neck !!!! [?|]

Trucks are fun, but utilitarian in nature & I agree with the former post.

Oh my god!!!!! I was wrong this entire time¿ I thought that trucks were designed to do work with! Like moving stuff (hence the purpose of the bed). The only thing worse than Lightnins and trucks like that are the Lincoln Blackwoods. Come on yuppy, buy a car. Making trucks go really fast defeats the whole purpose and design behind a truck. IMHO

i like this one.....................

anyway also diesel engines are becoming more tuneable and quik with a performance chip, intake , and exhaust you can push over 700 lb/ft of torque with over 400 hp and still get over 20 mpg (ie ford 6.0 diesel.............and they are turbo'd[:D]

wow a fast truck, since we ALL know how safe pickup trucks are.

And i'd much rather have an X5, probably gets LITERALLY twice the MPG, and can go almost as fast.

With a guestimated 70 - 30 weight distribution, alot of that power *literally* goes up in smoke. Very useful for pulling large trailers & 4 wheel drive smokey burnouts. I would think that much power would be a *disadvantage* in mud, rain and snow. In anything other than a drag race, I'm pretty darn certain a 330ci could eat this truck for lunch.

Another "Me too" - trucks are for utility use. I could not imagine why I would want my Suburban to have 500 hp. I have no problems towing my 3500 lb boat with a 5.7L engine and about half that horsepower.

The only reason to have a truck that powerfull is if it is an all out Baja or sand truck.

Okay, I admit it, I just returned a 2002 Dodge Ram that I had on a lease. Yes, I know, why the hell would I ever drive that huge thing around and the bed was never used. [?|] All I can say is it was a phase but now its over. Anyway, I cannot even imagine 150 mph in one of those things. You would die!!!!! Mine was loaded and 80 or even 90 mph and you thought you were breaking up. What a shitty ride at higher speeds. No way 150, that just stupid.

I hate trucks they're useless, unless you REALLY need one, which you don't in suburbia hell. What's even more useless is a performance truck, like that whatever the hell it is red thing on the top of this page. If you're gonna spend so much money on a truck you might as well buy a used M5, have more luxury, more prestige, more sex appeal, more power, more speed, and most importantly room for 5 people.
