Hey,

I recently bought an 1986 325e and am in the process of fixing it up right now. My OBC display to the left of the stereo isn't working right now and i'd really like to get it working. I believe that it is the display that is broken becuase after my car has been turned off for a long period of time and when start it, the OBC display will display "000" for about three seconds right in the middle of the screen then goes away and will not work after that. (when it does this the display is very very faint too, and i have to cup my hand over the display to see it.) I would like to replace it and am toying with the idea of putting in one of the better displays like the 9 button unit (mine is only 6 button right now). Any suggestions on what the problem could be and how to fix it, as well help on upgrading the unit and what other parts i need to get for the upgrade (i.e. temp sensor and others)

Thanks for any help in advance,
Mike Thomas
