Odometer adjustment

The odometer of the E30 I drive seems to be working wrong. Speed seems O.K but kilometers (miles) don't. for example my commute in this car seems like more than 10% shorter (24 km instead of 27) than with other cars I do it. Is there a way to adjust it? It has the original tire size that it came with (195/60-14).

I do not believe thre is an adjustment for this. If everything is original than it should be within standard specs.

All bmw's speedometers are opitistic by about 3mph. I've never heard of an E30's speedo being out of spec. Might have a bad speed sensor or something, but that would cause an irratic or non-working gauge.
