Oil Change Question

i have a 1997 M3 96,000 miles, auto, that i just bought 2 months ago....i had the oil changed at a 10 minute oil place, should i go back there or do it myself? i have never done it before....should i use synthetics, and if so...waht should i get....any help would be greatly appreciated....thanks alot guys

Come on guys, i read up on changing the oil.....thats easy, but what oil should i use?????

Mobil one synthetic/Castrol synthetic 10w40 for colder climates, 20w50 for warmer ones and yeah, do it yourself. A BMW oil change is easier to do than on my Taurus....

Do it yourself and use the oil your owners manual recommends. wood_e is dead on with specs per season, but you can also use something like 5w-30 for year-round use. If your car uses synthetic, stick to synthetic....if it doesn't use synthetic then switch to synthetic!!
