My '92 525i is dark green and on the sunroof the paint is starting to fade slightly... I was wondering what is a good product to apply to my car to combat the fading and keep the paint shiny longer...

thanks. :)

It sounds like you would benifit from a good clay, polish and protectant session.
Clay and polishing will remove contaminants and oxidation. A wax or sealant that is durable will help you get the best life from your paint.

My personal favorite is Einszett..., I have tested literally 100's of products and the polishes are by far the best...

They also make a great synthetic wax(Glanz) It is very easy to apply and remove and lasts longer than a natural carnuba wax.
Zaino and Klasse are also favorites of mine...,

waynestowels,

What should I use, polish or wax? What product(s) do you recommend for...
1.) '04 Gray Green Metallic paint, and
2.) '04 Silver Gray Metallic paint

Also, I want to pick up a PC 'Ultimate.' Do you sell a 'kit' which includes several different
attachment pads for the polish and wax application?

Thanks...

Hi,

I have sold out of the PC and pads.
I will be carrying a full line of pads from a different company, as I am in the process of testing the top brands for the best performance. (I do this as new products are introduced to the market)
I will no longer be carrying the PC, but will have the pads and backing plates.

Polish is to create a better shine, wax is to protect the shine.

Einszett Glanz is a long lasting synthetic wax and easy to apply and remove.
Einszett "red can and green can" are the most popular for cars with good finishes(can also be used on wheels to polish them:)

Please link to
einszett.com
and check out the polishes for more information.

In rank of aggressiveness- (we call them by the color of the can, as it is MUCH easier for people to recognize the product by the color of the can than the name of the product, as the names are German at this time, but will change in the future to American names.

In order of most to least aggressivness...,

1- yellow can
2- green can
3- red can
4- grey can

They all work great and MUCH easier than anything else I have tried.
THe best seller is the green can.

For finishes that are in very good condition, the red can is recommended

For finishes in like new condition, the gray can is recommended.
