Man... I love the look of this roadster. ^^^

I was thinking about painting my rims black, but am unsure of how it would look on a silver car.

What do ya'll think???

Here's my roadster...

Just tossin the idea around... I plan on keeping this car for a long long time and really don't care about the resale. I'm getting another car here in a few months for my daily commute. The roadster is going to become a weekend project toy.

Quick rendition...not that bad looking with the black rims.
Tom, thanks for the chop![thumb]

Sadly, it's the result i kinda expected. ....not near as cool as on the black roadster. [:(]

Oh well... guess I'll just stick to doing some engine mods as that was the only aesthetic thing I would have considered doing.

ya u should look into chrome except chrome looks really good on colored cars not to much on silver. i have chromed stock rims on my 325 it looks really nice, also the insides of the rim is painted red to match the car, id post pics but no digi camera

I'm not a big fan of chrome actually. In fact, part of my reasoning for wanting black rims was to be anti-chrome![hihi]

I'm going for more of an aggressive look, so "bling" is out of the question.

gbf1lm,

Actually, I have a good idea of what your talking about with your rims. I really like that powdercoated lip look. However, like I said earlier that's not what I'm going for. I'm sure they look really nice on your red bimmer though! [thumb]

Spidey have you considered powder coating them? I too have been thinking about having mine powder coated black, but a matte finish not shiney. Tom's photoshop looks good and looks flat or matte.

yeah... that's exactly what i was thinking i'd do. a flat or matte powder coat. a guy here in town quoted me $100 a wheel. however, after seeing that chop job i'm not so sure. i think it looks much better on a black roadster. in fact, i'm regretting not getting a black one just because of this. lol, no matter though. my mind changes every 5 min or so. [hihi]
