pet peeve: some gen classified users

it really is no big deal really, but i was just browsing through the gen classifieds, and found that majority of the thread starters were new members that just register, just to sell their car/ items.

it'd be nice if they'd chime in on other topics once in a while, rather than coming into bump their thread from bottom of the page to the top.. might actually help with the sale of their stuff too, if they are an active member.

anyway, thought i'd share

Just while we are close to the subject :
This forum is by far the friendlyist out of the forums im subscribed to. In 'other' e30 forums (bigger ones) it seams that only the newbies post questions and put valuable info in while the 'other' high posters are just there to throw in some crappy comment that sends the OP nowhere but into a huge crappy bitch fight.
people need to aswer the persons problem, rather than tell them to "Use the search button" followed by a crappy comment.... pffft.
If you dont want to answer the question, or do not know how to aswer the question (not including saying positive things to the person), then they shouldn't post.. simple as that.

Jason I too have noticed the trend and feel the same way you do. I rarely buy things off the internet = site unseen from complete strangers. I would be more inclined if I wanted to purchase the item if I felt like I "knew" the seller, which could come from some interaction here in the forums.

The sun is shining and it is warm, I think I will go for a ride now!

Joseph: i totally agree. suppose most geeks are alike, be they car geeks or comp geeks. there's a certain sense of superiority they want to lord over others. i just think it's called socially inept. but to each his/her own.
i'm hoping this helped you vent your anger and not the other way around. there will always be crappy people right?

Dan: at times like these i wish i could just shed the top! well it doesn't really matter rignt now, since i'm just sitting in my room translating. (well attempt to, while daydreaming about going outside when i'm done.. so instead of translating i'm on here.... go fig-
