The cats on my e39 540i blew through about 2 weeks ago - BMW uk wanted £2k to replace - thought no chance! AM a member of an american car forum as even though I'm in the UK I have an 84 vette and one of the members is an exhaust specialist soo we came up with this for much less than BMW wanted :

This is a build video for a complete new system - and with having the vette I wanted an old school muscle car sound for my ubber V8 and I think you'll agree I've got it.
There have been comments about the size of the tips - but I like em - and the position of them also - the position of them haas been dictated by the shape of the boot floor so an M5 style tip could position could not accomodated.
One things for sure there aren't many others around that look or sound like it any more
