what's the consensus on the platinum plugs? i've read that they may not be the ticket for forced induction and high performance applications, that they seem to be well suited to everyday driving. anyone have any issues with them?

From all that I have heard, the Bosch Platinums are on the hot side. I've heard people recommend them for engines w/ lots of miles, but never for an engine in good condition.

I'd recommend the factory plugs, or maybe looking to see if a Bosch Silber (silver) can be used in your engine.

i went with the original equipment NGK BKR6EK's. $28/4 from BMW. too much controversy over the plat's, and several supercharger manufacterers specifically caution against them. 89k on my originals, they show perfectly even wear on both sides of the center and both ground electrodes. like a double life plug. i think it's a case of "it ain't broke, don't fix it"
