What's funny to me is that they took the two ugly ends of the car; in my opinion the front of Lexoto (stealing that Kirby, that was just too good not to) is much more beautiful than the rear. And the same with the pontiac.
I am amazed that Toyota And GM aren't banging down the door of local politicians, G7 committees and the WTO about this crap. (no pun intended on the crap reference).

this is under the assumption copycats actually feel shame, which if they had would not create the chimera in the first place.
past chines efforts have totally ripped off hyundai santa fe, or something.. wonder why the obsession w/ suvs over there?
not to be racist really, but what was the last meaningful thing the great nation of China has given to the world except for plastic junk you find at the dollar store? save for lead pollution with their leaded gasoline of course.

That is true...at least for now. But I believe one day, China could be successful and might make it to the top with quality products like Japan. Of course, that all depends on the Chinese themselves, what their priorities are, quick easy $ making cheap imitations, or build a reputation for themselves.
I still remember when I was a kid, I used to hear every adult commenting about "Japanese Products" meaning cheap non-durable products. They were the joke when it comes to poor quality anything. But it only took them a decade or so, they focused on quality, and managed to place themselves above everybody else in the world in technology and quality.

actually it scares me to think that all these companies investing in China are looking to make some money, but are actually helping China way more than helping themselves.
I just think China is leveraging their cheap labor to leapfrog years of technological backwardness. once they catch up while maintaining some resemblence of cheap labor ($3.50 a day! take that UAW!!) who's going to compete?
it'll be interesting to see.
