I am trying to decide between the 7336 and 7324. I read in Vlad's Detail PDF report that the 7424 generally comes with a 6" pad but a 5oz counter-weight. If you order the 7424 from Coastaltool.com they are currently including a 6oz counter-weight due to the demand. This way you're getting the PC 7424 polisher with 6" pad and 6oz weight. They're also including the hook and loop contour pad. Technically the PC7336 is referred to as a "sander" while the PC7424 is referred to as a "polisher". For a comparison of the 7336 and 7424 I am providing a link to Coastaltool.com: (Coastal Tool is also the cheapest place I've found the 7424 w/ appropriate counterweights) Click on the "skinny"

Cheapest I've found the PC 7336 & PC 7424 (both $109.xx)

Can anybody share an opinion on which model is better?

I have experience with the 7424 and it is a great machine. Very easy to use--I did not have experience with buffers before I used it and the results are great.

The price on that site is the best I have seen and I wish I had known about it before.

Both machines are exactly the same. The difference is the accessories with the "Kit".
The best deal is to get the Coastal model, as everything you need is included.
I recommend getting better buffing pads, as the one included is not the best out there, IMO...

Hello Wayne,
I am ready to purchase the PC 7424 {r.o. polisher} from Coastal.
What additional pads or accessories 'Kit' do you offer with this polisher. I am
specificially looking for velcro {6"} attachments and upgraded polishing pads.
Looking forward to doing business. [:)]
Feel free to E-mail; paddylv@hotmail.com

Thankx

I'd buy from Amazon.com. It's pretty cheap and normally has free shipping. The extra pads are only 9.99 also.

But then you have to buy the extra accessories to go with it and even though shipping is "free", a lot of times there is a handling charge.

Coastaltool or Detailersparadise.com would be my choices(if you choose Detailersparadise.com, tell him Wayne recommended the web site and ask for Nick.)

About the pads, are the cheaper pads quality or just replacement type?
Just curious, sometimes you can get good prices on pads, however, add in after sale service as well as "other considerations" and Amazon would not be my first choice...

Just my .02:)

I've bought quite a bit of stuff from Amazon.com and have had great luck. I see no reason to pay more when you don't get more. Amazon.com does not have any handling charge or anything like that, just great service at a great price. I've never purchased from either of those two sites so I feel much more comfortable at amazon.

The pads look like high quality pads, not the foam ones. They have many different pads to choose from. Haven't bought any yet so I can't personally vouch for how good they are. Are you pads PC or what namebrand?

Thanks
Jared

$119.99 with free shipping, no accessories except PC white pad.

http://coastaltool.com/cgi-bin/SoftCart.exe/a/port/pr7424.htm?L+coastest+llyt3092ff3a243a+1081308208
$119 aprox $7.99 shipping..., PLUS includes white pad, 5" and 6" counter weights AND a velcro backing plate. (backing plate is usually $12- $17)

Detailersparadise.com has many "package deals" on the PC to choose from..., plus the added benifit of after sales service and help with techniques and questions...

I am not saying where to buy from..., just giving other options:)
