Looking for any suggestions/recomendations for a trustworthy shop to perform some repairs on my 97 540i/6. Looking for something in the Bergen/Morris/Passaic County area or even Rockland County.

I know a guy who is honest and can fix any BMW but he is in Queens, NY, near the 59th street bridge in Manhattan. His name is Kenny and he is at Gibralter Transmission on Queens Blvd. He is the best BMW mechanic I have ever met and in fact is one of those guys who works as a consultant for BMW techs. When they have a problem, particularly with transmissions, they call him. Though he's a long distance from me, I take my 5 series to him for anything serious. Good luck.
