Hello! I am new here...I just purchased a 1984 325e. I just got it back from getting a brand new paint job and it looks awesome! I have some work that I need to do now...and was wondering if anyone has good recommendations.

I need a new set of spark plugs and wires. What kind should I get? I am going for the stock look/feel/drive so I don’t need much as far as performance parts.

I need a new exhaust from the cat. conv. to the back...any suggestions?

I also need new front control arms

Thank you so much for any input.

BMW leads are tin not copper, so they do not corrode almost at all and very rarely need replacing. They also perform fine - I would replace the leads with standard BMW leads.

Any good brand spark plug is fine - do not spend extra on platinum plugs etc as the extra cost is not worth the expense for a car with "stock feel/drive"

Put nolathene bushes in when you replace the control arms for no extra cost, but superior firmness in your suspension.

for the exhaust you would probably be best off getting a magnaflow off ebay and just having an exhaust shop make the pipes from the cat back and weld it on.

either that or we got a fresh 325e down in oronoco, I dont know how good the exhuast on it is though.

im down in rochester
