Questions concerning a buy

I am looking to buy a 2000 540i 6 speed with sports package. It has 79,000 miles on it, 2 owners, very well maintained. I am looking at purchasing this for 14,500.

I need to know 2 things.

1.) Is this a good buy?

2.) What kind of mechanical issues am I possibly looking at here?

According to NADA it is a good buy, they give a range of $14k to $16k. Does he/she have the service records? Make sure it has had all its services to date, and been properly maintained.

Yeah it has the full service record. But I think it is important to also check it out.

Any other thoughts?
