rear window problem for 2000 z3

the cloth apart is starting to separate from the rubber around the plastic window. It started just alittle bit about a month ago in the upper right hand corner (I got some goop glue and it held and still is holding) but I went out to the care and a 18inch long section was out from under the rubber/plastic lip that used to hold it down.
I'm afraid of trying to glue that long of a section down.... any suggestions?

Yes this is a very common problem with the Z3's. I had it repaired once on my 97 and once on my 98 under warranty. It had not reoccurred on the 98. Check this site for fix and other common Z3 problems: Fixit Page

Yep, mine has done that too. It would separate each time the top was raised. Used black silicone adhesive and it's held so far for about a month.
