Hello all,

I am trying to remove the engine from my '89 325i. So far, while disconnecting the gearbox, I have removed a number of 12mm torx bolts but there are number of larger torx bolts and I don't know what size these are. I need to pick up whatever sockets I need on the way over to my parents (where the car is) first thing in the morning so I'm a bit stuck. Does anybody know what size torx bolts these are? I think they must be 16mm or 18mm?

Also and adive or tips would be great.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks very much.

pull it with the tranny connected to the engine. All you have to do is losen 3 bolts on the guibo, and your shift linkage, and the tranny mount support, and it'll slide out like a... something slippery. As far as the sizes go, they're porbably 17mm or 19mm... couldn't you just grab them all?
