Some or you may know that my car is overheating and not currently working. I have my fan clutch and water wetter and want to get it working again. Does anyone know how to remove/replace the fan cluth? The chilton book i have just says to remove the air box then hold the water pump up remove the fan clutch that way by unfastening it with a 32mm wrench. Ok thanx.

you shouldn't need to take out the air box. The fan clutch is reverse threaded so you have to loosen it the wrong way. I used an adjustable wrench and hit the wrench with a rubber mallet. (The only way to get it off is to juke it off. did i make up that word? You know what i mean?) I couldn't get it off for a while, almost gave up, then smacked the wrench as hard as i could one last time and it came loose. Spray it with PB blast, maybe that would help. You may have to take off the radiator shroud. I think i had to.

I had to resort to using a thin metal punch and a hammer to get mine loose. Just a couple of taps and it was loose. Didnt even hurt the sides of the nut. Who cares though if you are replacing it. I could not get any of my adjustable end wrenches to fit in there.
