so my car is in desperate need of a new coat of paint

a small scratch on the hood turned to a big peeling mess after a bit of snow melted and refroze inside

so my question is should i stick with red paint that i've got now or paint it white or black

i've got black leather and i cant decide which is better

i like the clean look of a black or white paint job

but i also like how red looks too

so what do you all say?

i recommend staying with the original color red- unless u absolutely don't care whatsoever about the resale value of the car... u may think right now the resale value doesn't matter. but, someday when u decide to trade it in or sell it for something better, u'll regret that u re-painted it a diff color. also, to fully repaint a car a diff color, they really have to take out the engine. otherwise, under the hood, under the trunk there will be parts of the car still showing the original color of the car- which kills resale. my .02 anyways.

well i went looking around town today to see how much it would cost to get it repainted red or white and it came out to about 10 times what i can spend so i picked up a can of ford red paint from napa to use as a temporary fix. they didnt have bmw red so ford was the closest match. i think it looks fine from a distance of about 20-30 feet

which is good enough for me right now

Spraying using a pressurized can of paint is fail...
If you are that much of a "lowie" try a full roller paint job!

Man, if I'm going to come out to Colorado, I'm coming now... you can put me up for a week while I ski 'till I drop![headbang]

Joseph, I think my (ex)gf's Bimmer needs a roller paint job[hihi] I kinda just want to use a bunch of magic markers though!
