Yes, they can be repaired. You need to take it somewhere that has the right equipment to dismount the tire from the wheel however. The sidewalls are very strong and therefore a regular rim clamp tire machine would damage the wheel.
Dealer told me Runflats should not be repaired... (not sure if this was a dealer money maker ploy)...and that I should get the tire replacement service.
I figured runflats run +250.00. So if I have to replace 2 tires in 5 years...I'll be good to go after paying 500...for 5 year coverage.
You can repair them you just have to be careful, you can only patch the center tread. These are slowly becoming a big deal (run flats), which means in the future the price should come down significantly.
