Anyone out there know what the deal is with E30s and rust? Is it a serious issue, I live in CT remember. Or does the factory undercoating keep them in pretty good shape? Any help would be greatly appreciated as this will determine whether or not I buy an E30.

I do not have any information on e30's from east of the Mississippi, however out here in the west rust is not a problem. If you have rust it must be properly addressed or it will continue to errode the metal and de-value your car.

I wouldn't buy an E30 in CT... that's if there are any left without rust. [hih]
In CT I doubt it. But most E30's I've seen are rust-free except the exhaust, but that doesnt really matter.
