Anyone out there know what the deal is with E30s and rust? Is it a serious issue, I live in CT remember. Or does the factory undercoating keep them in pretty good shape? Any help would be greatly appreciated as this will determine whether or not I buy an E30.
I do not have any information on e30's from east of the Mississippi, however out here in the west rust is not a problem. If you have rust it must be properly addressed or it will continue to errode the metal and de-value your car.
Yes I know this I was just wondering how much of a problem it is in the rust belt and your lucky you live in the southwest, no rust there, thats the only place to purchase old american cars.

Common places for rust to start on e30's are around tail lights, around number plate, around sunroof, around chromw window trims, engine battery shelf, shocktowers, floors.
