i look at it this way, the cancer has already set in (rust), the transmission still leaks oil like a sive..... and now the engine is dead...I think i better just look towards the future.
Can't argue with that.

Sorry to hear that bud. Not good at all... [bigcry]

Broke a timing chain on a '71 230C mercedes - valve into cylinder head - now mounted on my window sill with valve still embedded in cylinder. I feel your pain. Fortunately for me, I was able to fix her, and she is still running around as she was meant to.

well the car has seen its days..... salvageable is:

Drive shaft
tranny is ****ed but still works (strange leak in it, dunno how to fix it)
3.91 LSD Differential
Computer
Central locking
interior (but not all of it)
drivers tail light
tail light bulb holders
passenger grill and kidney grill

ahh you get the point. Maybe i'll drive it into the garage and startt tearing it apart.

Yes its still runs.... but i wouldnt take it far. And since i am scrapping it, i dont care the extra damage i do to the engine.

he asked how many miles are on the diff, becaause he wants to buy it.
And because i have it listed as a performance modification in my profile, which it is. I bought it off ebay and installed it in my car.

I dont remember the KMs on the diff, like i said in earlier post., but the car has 330,000kms on it.
