I have just bought a BMW 323i 1984 and i was wondering what series it was eg. e30 if anyone can help me it would be great

That is an e30 i believe..e36's started in '91 except for a few models that didn't change until 94 I think.

Yep, E30 body style with M20 engine(2315cc), 6 cylinders, 139(bhp), 8.1 sec(0-62),top speed 124(mph), produced from 1982-1986.
