I am sure most people here know of the homebrew reset method shown here , and seems like it would work. But what amperage should the fuse be that I use in the jumper wire? I will probably be using something like this
It takes a regular size blade fuse, up to 20 amps. Anybody else attempt this?

paperclip works fine, fuse is needed for the uncertainty. hit the wrong one and end up rewiring your cpu.
Or if you hit pins 11 and 14 you'll crank the engine over (it's the starter bypass), and if you have the car in gear or you have it turned to the on/run position, you'll start the engine (though not for long since that cap completes a few crucial connections) [;)]

So, I used the paperclip idea, and it actually worked! I was amazed to say the least. Why pay 80 bucks for a reset tool when you can use a .001 cent paper clip? [:D] [:D] [:D]
