SMG System...

Dosen't the SMG system weigh more then if you get your car in manual? So shouldnt there be a 0-60 difference? or perhaps a handling difference?

How much does it exaclty weigh? and how much does BMW's automatic/steptronic system weigh too? Thanks.

Hi there. The SMG system does weigh more than a manual which initially makes the car just a bit slower, but SMG shifts faster than a human so overall they have the same acceleration. BMW doesn't provide separate weight specifications for each transmission.
