Smoked taillights

Is there any possible reason these may not fit my car? It says they are for an 88-91 e30 but shouldn't they still fit?

you need 84 to 9.87 lights, much smaller.

for that kind of money get the real thing, search for Startec

Get a product called niteshades made by VHT and smoke them yourself or if you know someone with an airbrush, you can spray on a tint.

Mine were done by a member on a local board and look pretty good.

Night shades then use a clear coat to give them a nice glossy finish as 'night shades' sets with a matt finish
