When I got my car a while ago when I sat down in the seat I could hear my back end squeak. I never really thought much of it. But now when I get in my car and start to move I some times hear my back end craking like a boat. I head the same sound in a taxi cab in chicago so Im assuming its a bad thing. Please tell me my suspension is not shot...

PITA to fix. I am going to do mine this weekend. I expect it to take me and a friend the whole day, but I am also doing my trailing arm bushings.

I think you can just drop the front of the subframe instead of the whole deal for these.

You might want to check the supports for the exhaust system. I heard noises coming from my back end and I thought it was the shocks and what-not as well. I took it to get an oil change today and found out the supports used to hold the exhaust system to the car were worn horribly...

...I dunno, just a suggestion.

also to clarify.

The subframe mounts are a bitch. The rear shock mounts are easy, and dirt cheap too. Just go to the dealer and buy the rear shock mounts from the E46/E36 convertible cars. Same basic thing but the bushing is a little better designed. Also buy the curved washer for the top.
