Softening stiff leather??

Any good ideas of what to use to soften up some old leather seats? I have gotten them pretty clean with a damp cotton rag, but the leather is taut and hard... I have heard that products with lanolin work quite well. Would a conditioner do the trick, or is there a more intense product out there? Is there a Lexol or Autosol product aybody has had any luck with?

well my shift boot was pretty rough when i bought my bimmer used.
i treated the shift boot nicely w/ lexol and it's back to soft now.

Lexol, Zaino, Einszett all make good leather products

Try leatherique. I usually use the above products to maintain leather. Leatherique is more of a restorer. www.leatherique.com
