Stopped Odometer

Hey all. Got the 86 Beemer up and running again but am considering selling it in the near term.

However, one more problem arose out of the battery replacement. Odometer appears to have stopped. Any easy fixes or am I screwed.? I'm SURE this will have a negative affect and any potential buyers.

Is it common for this just to stop like that?

Any help would be appreciated.....again!

the plastic gearings that turn the numerals disintegrated due to old age, they turned crunchy. It's a common problem at my place because of hot weather.

Thanks for the replies! I'll have our mechanic take a look at it if I get an offer.

Now...if only my wife will let me get a new 5.....
