I'm currently shopping for a performance exhaust system for my 1988 325is, so my question is pretty simple, which one is better for the money?
Here are the links:

I've heard great things about supersprint, but ive heard some good stuff about IE too, so is it really worth it to pay 530 for the supersprint catback when i can get the IE catback for 390 I'd love to hear experiences from anyone with either of these, or even just an observers opinion. Thanks!

PS I'm also looking for headers and a high flow cat for my E30, any info on either of those would also be greatly appreciated!

Ah yes.....the wonderful world of exhausts [:D]

Well, now that I have finally seen and heard both (and having bought the IE exhaust) I think the quality is very close to equal. Granted, with Supersprint you get a choice of a couple of different exhaust tips, however they don't sound a whole lot different. The IE is very stong (able to hold my 230lb body weight bouncing up and down on the muffler), has welded seams (not crimped) is completely stainless steel from the catalytic mountin point all the way to the tips, and is still about 10lbs lighter than stock.

I'm not intending to hurt Supersprint's reputation, because their exhaust is quite nice in quality. However I find it's draw backs to be comprised of their higher ticket price and their cat-backs are aluminized steel with stainless tips.

The IE exhaust is an outstanding buy for the money. Here's a shot of it installed on my car [thumb]

JordE30 also got one. I'm not sure if he's installed it yet considering I delivered it last Thursday...but since it's a snap to do yourself...he might have it on by now.

BTW...anyone that claims HP gains in excess of 10HP for a cat-back only is just blowing smoke. Without other mods (i.e. headers/free-flow cat., etc...) don't expect more than 5. Mufflers aren't the major cause of airflow restriction on most US cars...it's the headers and cat.

Ah okay, well thats good to know, I was kind of thinking that 10 hp was a bit generous. Have any ideas for good headers or free flow cat?

Oh ya, and any one else with thoughts on exhaust?
