temper new brakes

What's the best way to temper new brakes and rotors. I just had slotted rotors and new Hawk pads installed Friday and I want to know what is the best way to break them in. Thanks for your help.

When I change brake pads and/or rotors I go out on a lonely highway and accelerate to 50-60 mph than brake hard (almost to the point of ABS), repeat the procedure a couple of times and you should have it.

Doing a Google on "Brake Bedding" will get you more info than you ever want to know. Some of the techniques are similar, but they do vary. This isn't an exact science, but check your pad's manufacturer's web site for their recommendations.
