whats good for them when they start graying out a bit from sun exposure?

I tried this and it works. Not sure that its the intended use but I haven't found anything better, not to say that there is not something better.

My car was built May 2003 and i started to notice a problem with the trim after only a few months of summer weather.

Edit: Are you talking about the rubber trim? Thats what I was thinking.

Get them sanded until its real fine without the little plastic bumps...then have them painted!
That way you won't have to ever worry about them losing color.

You mean the hard stuff around the sun roof or at the top of the door where the body meets the windows right? That would be a novel idea.
